Dr. Amera Tamran completed her doctorate in Education Leadership at St. Joseph’s University in 2019,
following her Masters in Art Education and an MFA from Philadelphia’s University of Arts in 2014. These accomplishments were preceded by Dr. Tamran obtaining her Masters degree in Interior Design Architecture at Drexel University (Philadelphia) in 2013.
Interestingly, these terminal achievements were the culmination of a Saudi Arabian seven-year old’s
interest in art and design, fostered by her mother, which developed into a life-long passion for integrating art with design. As will be realized quickly, having spent the majority of her adult life in the US, Dr. Tamran is the quintessential cultural blend. Her undergraduate studies at King Abdul-Aziz University (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) coupled with her graduate studies in the US and Rome (Italy) provided her with innovative techniques and the unconventional use of materials using cross-cultural references to evoke timeless elegance. Her own personal artwork demonstrates influences from various time periods, with Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel influencing her use of architecture, art, design and space to generate enduring design in real estate and other construction projects. Clearly, this has been seen in the projects Elegance has completed with Dr. Tamran’s art, design and feature integration being functional highlights to satisfy the clients’ requirements. These cross-cultural and time transitioning features represent Dr. Tamran’s aim in satisfying Elegance LLC’s client goals.
